Necessidades educacionais de enfermeiros em administração de medicamentos: desenvolvimento, implementação e avaliação de um curso

Abstract
A busca de conhecimento maximiza a utilização de princípios fundamentados cientificamente que possibilitam a administração de medicamentos segura. O presente estudo objetivou identificar e analisar as necessidades educacionais de enfermeiros atuantes em uma instituição hospitalar do interior do estado de Minas Gerais no que concerne à administração de medicamentos bem como desenvolver, implementar e avaliar um curso cujo conteúdo foi baseado nas necessidades educacionais identificadas e analisadas. Para tal, utilizou-se da Técnica do Grupo Nominal junto a todos os enfermeiros que compõem a equipe de enfermagem da citada instituição através da seguinte questão nominal: “Quais são os conteúdos em que o senhor (a) julga necessário aprofundar seu conhecimento para desenvolver uma prática segura na administração de medicamentos?”. Destacaram-se seis categorias de necessidades educacionais: preparo e administração de medicamentos, obtenção de informações e conhecimento em administração de medicamentos, interações medicamentosas, aspectos gerais da administração de medicamentos, efeitos colaterais dos medicamentos e mecanismos de ação dos medicamentos. Posteriormente, houve o desenvolvimento, implementação e avaliação de um curso com a participação de enfermeiros, médicos e farmacêuticos, o qual se baseou nas necessidades educacionais identificadas e analisadas. Ao término do estudo, destacou-se que a busca de conhecimento e de estratégias de capacitação dos enfermeiros, voltado para a temática referente à administração de medicamentos, mostra-se de grande importância.

ABSTRACT The search for knowledge maximizes the use of principles scientifically substantiated enabling of safe administration of medications. This study aimed to identify and analyze the educational needs of nurses in a hospital in the state of Minas Gerais regarding the administration of medications, as well as its develop, implement and evaluate a course whose content was based on educational needs identified and analyzed. To this end, we used the Nominal Group Technique along to all nurses that make up the nursing staff of that institution through nominal question: "What are the contents that you consider necessary to deepen your knowledge to develop a safe practice in medication administration?". The highlights were six categories of educational needs: preparation and administration of medications, gathering information and knowledge in administering medications, drug-drug interactions, and general aspects of medication administration, medication side effects and mechanisms of action of drugs. Later, there was the development, implementation and evaluation of a course, with the participation of nurses, doctors and pharmacists, which was based on the educational needs identified and analyzed. At the end of the study, It has been pointed out that the pursuit of knowledge and educational strategies for training of nurses, focusing on themes related to medication administration, seems of great importance.
